er, I think lead is what other stuff radioactively decays into. Whatever. ;-)
The really great stuff to use for nose weight is Tungsten. It has nearly twice the density of lead and is non toxic. Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to obtain in any meaningful quantity in powdered form and is so incredibly hard it cannot be cut by mere mortals. I hoard the small (but weighty) quantity I have for those occasions for when lead just isn't dense enough.
