ED: Just mix in some fumed silica(cabosil) with the epoxy until it looks like somewhere between catsup and peanutbutter, squeegee with rubber scraper, then use a toothed comb wit 1/16" deep "teeth" about 1/4" apart. A bandsaw and formica square works. I'll be bagging some wings using epoxy and obeechi. What techniques work best to prevent the epoxy from seeping through to the face of the wing skins? I've applied water based poly to the glue side to seal it but it's a pain because if you don't weight or tape the skins to a flat surface they curl as soon as you apply the poly. Help will be appreciated and thanks in advance for the replies. Ed RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
