Wrong! AMA has nothing to do with the skeg rule. The ban would have to
come from individual AMA members and would require an amendment to the

My original problem was with the AMA landings, not the FAI landings. 1 metre
increments are enough if you fly enough rounds. In Australia we drop one
round in six, but even at that level, I cannot remember the last time that
we had a draw for first place. Europe has huge contests for F3J and F3B,

I could support a no skeg policy as it comes closer to my personal opinion of the
ideal competitive venue. Pilots with highly developed skills and proficiency would
still win because they could stop the glider close to the spot even without skegs.
