I have a dead 6501, too. Problem is *not* the power supply.

My original problem is that reboot from Linux doesn't work, but I
discovered the issue is more fundamental than that.
If I cold boot the box (i.e. pull the plug), it boots into Linux fine.

i had a Crucial-brand ssd that wouldn't soft boot in a net5501; i had to
