Hi, I just want to share my experiences I had, when upgrading from Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 to Intrepid 8.10 on a Soekris Net 5501. I started with Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 and a 8 GB CF card. The card was recognized as hdb1. Also upgrading to Gutsy 7.10 and Hardy 8.04 everything worked well. Then I bought a

[Soekris] Actual problems with net5501

-problems (my german distributor told me, that problems with SATA avoid sending out the mounting kit. This all seems to me to be hardware (BIOS) problems. Are there any official announcements from soekris, if they acknowledge these problems and when a bios-update can be expected? Kind Regards Joerg
