tftpboot/ubuntu-install/i396/boot-screens/txt.cfg
"console=ttyS0,19200n8" to the append-line.
Can any give me some hints/tips/tricks, what I can/need to do, to get
the installation working?
Thanks

Here is how I get the error-led on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid to work
# modprobe cs5535_gpio major=252 mask=0x
# mknod /dev/error_led c 252 6
Turning on error_led:
# echo 1 > /dev/error_led
Turning off error_led
# echo 0 > /dev/error_led
The only thing is, that, at leas
Hi,
I just want to share my experiences I had, when upgrading from Ubuntu
Hardy 8.04 to Intrepid 8.10 on a Soekris Net 5501.
I started with Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 and a 8 GB CF card. The card was
recognized as hdb1. Also upgrading to Gutsy 7.10 and Hardy 8.04
everything worked well.
Then I bought a
nector (in the description I only
found "Serial ATA 1.0")? Do I need any specific cable? For which
specification have I to look?
Thanks in advance

This all seems to me to be hardware (BIOS) problems.
Are there any official announcements from soekris, if they acknowledge
these problems and when a bios-update can be expected?
Kind Regards

I thought this, too.
When the system starts, it shows me, that the CF-card is "Primary Slave"
and in the BIOS the value (Flash=Primary) is set.
I don't know, what to change else,
ed? Or is there
any other tip/trick/hint to start Ubuntu on a 5501?
By the way: An actual debian stable works out of the box.
Thanks in advance
