I've mostly lurked on the list but would like to say thanks all for helpful
threads through the years. I've connected with a bunch of you at Siggraph
in years past and Softimage has always had the best community.
I'm on Cinema4D nowadays using Redshift. It's not as comfortable as Soft,

Interesting enough. This group can't die. Softimage will be alive forever.
I just want all the time people took to answer so many important questions
can't be erased. How do we save all the info? And how do we continue in
another place?
Something i like soo much about this group is that people

This list made my career in CG possible. Without it, I never would have caught
my first breaks into high end work.
Recently I realized I’m down to only a couple of Tee-shirts reminding me of the

The Softimage list has been a big part of my professional life, and I feel
I'm not alone in that regard.

I think this is the
same for a lot of us, virtual people becoming real friends and
having meet-ups during user groups and XSI presentations.
Some form of Google groups would be best I guess, despite my
aversion to anything Google.

arrive in london, working on commercials, and connecting with a truly unique

Although I rarely open SI nowadays, it remained alive through this list. If
the list moves somewhere else, just drop an address, would love to stay in
touch.
