First re-import the .fbx into soft see if that works.
If yes, it may be a C4D issue.

Apparently there is an MDD reader in Cinema4D - so just do PO Export
MDD out of Soft and export an OBJ - then import the OBJ into C4d and
read the MDD onto it.
