After setting up a working Solr 1.3 example with a Tomcat 6 container, I have
been trying to figure out the Data Import Handler so I can work with a MySQL
database. However, after following the guidelines at
http://wiki.apache.org/solr/DataImportHandler#head-b3518c890e46befa05c9242c8fc329517c1ea

When trying to integrate Tomcat 6.0.20 and Solr 1.3.0, I get the below error
after trying to view the Solr admin page.
I downloaded Tomcat from the Apache website, and its installation went well, as
indicated by the fact that I can see the Apache Tomcat page in my browser when

Having tried Tomcat and not come to much success upon the realization that I'm
using Tomcat 5.5 for other projects I'm working on and that I would be best off

I am installing Solr 1.3.0, and currently have been trying to use Tomcat 5.5.
This hasn't been working so far for me, and I have been told (unofficially)
that my installation would go more smoothly if I were to use Tomcat 6. Does
anyone have experiencing with Solr 1.3 and Tomcat 5.5?

In trying to run the example distributed with Solr 1.3.0 from the command line,
the process seems to stop at the following line:
INFO: [] Registered new searcher searc...@147c1db main
The searcher ID is not always the same, but it repeatedly gets caught at this
line. Any suggestions?
