www.srna.co.yu Serbian Press Agency SRNA August 26, 2008 BELGRADE - Expert analysis of Radovan Karadzic's laptop so far has found that the some of the documents on it were copied to CD or DVD, writes Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti. An unnamed source told the paper that "these changes to the machine were recorded during the past month, while Karadzic was detained by the Hague tribunal and the laptop was in a presently unknown location". The expert analysis also showed that there are traces that the person who had the computer in his hands before it was left on the Batajnica road erased information but for know this is not so relevant. The source told the paper that 10 days, the length of time of the laptop analysis, was too little to examine the entire laptop. As a result, once it has picked up it will probably be recommended that the machine be submitted for a thorough forensic analysis in order to determine what is in the layers below the visible layer. The final results may become known only once Radovan Karadzic himself examines what is left in the laptop. Novosti writes that Karadzic's defense will probably pick up his laptop, which was found on the Batajnica road, from the police [on Tuesday]. Expert Angelina Markovic, who was hired by Karadzic's defenders and family, is expected to complete her inspection of the computer found one month after Karadzic's arrest in Belgrade today.
