NIKOLA TESLA MONUMENT UNVEILING IN NIAGARA FALLS SUNDAY, JULY 9, at 12:00 noon right near the Falls (Canadian side)
The official unveiling of the monument dedicated to Nikola Tesla on the occasion of his 150th birthday will take place in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Sunday, July 9, at 12 noon at Queen Victoria Park, right near the Falls. 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. - the 150th anniversary program is at the nearby Oaks Garden Theatre. 6 P.M. - Guests are welcome to a buffet dinner at the St. George Church pavilion on Montrose Road followed by a program honouring Nikola Tesla. Musical entertainment throughout the evening. EVERYONE IS WELCOMED! The bronze monument to Tesla was designed and sculpted by Les Drysdale of Hamilton. Niagara City Council and the Niagara Parks Commission, which generously donated the site, supported the project, initiated by the St. George Church and the Serbian National Shield Society.
