I think there's one big difference:
Oracle XE only lets you handle 1 database,
whereas PostgreSQL will almost certainly be larger -
if spacewalk-postgres would be working, I'd have used my local one that
hosts several database used in daily work.
So I'd vote against stopping PostgreSQL.

the command
# /usr/sbin/rhn-satellite stop
stops all Spacewalk services, including Oracle XE, if it is installed
locally.
Is that the expected behaviour or would people prefer to handle
Oracle XE manually?
If we should keep the script to stop Oracle XE, should I also add
start/
I will be out of the office starting 07.10.2010 and will not return until
