We have just installed spacewalk 1.3 on Centos 5.5. The system so far seems to
be working fine however on the monitoring side we have a little confusion. We
are able to push the probes on to the desired clients and can monitor them, but

Been fighting this for a long time and thought I'd share just in case others
who have been seeing this would like to try.
This bug (not filed by me) has a small patch at the end that turns off the
roster functionality of the jabber server. Once I did that, I followed the
following steps and have b
ok, fixed my issue.. actually the register itself should bring down the
subscribed channels assuming my activation key was set up right..
I found that my activation key didnt correcly specify my base channel.. after
fixing that and re-registering the system, everything works
as expected.

As a follow-up it appears that there is something wrong with package
duplication within the same OU. I created a new OU with a new channel
and I was able to push a rpm from one of my other OU's channel and the
push worked. I tried to push the same package to a different channel but
within the same

you could opt for removing the custom channel for these machines
specifically. Although these may be undesireable, it is quatenteed this way.
However, if that's not an option, you can also lock these systems so there
aren't any actions possible from the satellite on them, or you could go
