Re: [Spacewalk-list] Support for Fedora 18 clients using Spacewalk 1.8?

Of the required client packages, "pyOpenSSL" and "libxml2-python" were available from the base set of packages on the 4G DVD where as "rhnlib" and "spacewalk-koan" were not. I'm able to kickstart a FC18 client but it is obviously not registering with Spacewalk automatically. I then used the yum com

Dear all, I have just checked this on my local installation (Spacewalk 1.8 / Postgres / CentOS 5.9) and I get the same error. The CVE is properly assigned to a CESA but Advanced Search failes with Could not execute query 'CVE-2013-1083'. I hope somebody has an answer to this :-) Kind regards,

[Spacewalk-list] Errata search by CVE fails

2013-01-23 Thread Pierre Casenove
Hello list, I'm using spacewalk 1.8 on a rhel 5 server. I've been trying to search an errata by CVE. In the search field, I put the name of the CVE (for example CVE-2012-0611) and select "Search by CVE" but it fails with error "could not execute query". In the catalina.out file, I've got the follow

Thanks Michael. I'm currently using spacewalk v1.5 . Is there any way to change the "Config quota"? The only option I know of is the global "web.maximum_config_file_size" in "/etc/rhn/rhn.conf". -Original Message- From: spacewalk-list-boun...@redhat.com [mailto:spacewalk-list-boun...

I too had the same problem of missing /usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT on my Spacewalk server. I didn't try to answer this question earlier with my solution because I suspected my solution was the wrong one, even though it worked for me. I ended up copied from /var/www/html/pub/RHN-ORG-TRUST

This file is usually automatically created when you install your spacewalk server per the usual installation guides. It's usually installed under that path. Additionally, it's rolled up as an rpm under /var/www/html/pub (at least under RHEL5). Now, if you need to directly create the file, y

This is the way I understood it initially, but doesn't answer my first question. Gensystemid will not work without this file: /usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT. I still don't know how I acquire the certificate. "[root@server ~]# gensystemid -u xxx -p xxx --release=5Server --arch=x86_64

I found that when a user is created with an empty Prefix (ie, Mr.), any attempt to modify the account afterwards generates a 500 ISE. Not necessarily a big deal, but I spent a day trying to track down why I couldn't change a user's password or set him to use PAM authentication, when it was beca
