Another thing, postgres is not bundled with spacewalk-service. So, it's not
restart when I run "spacewalk-service restart"
Should I stop the postgres manually before I run "spacewalk-hostname-rename"?
And then restart it before "Starting spacewalk services...?

I did that, I use spacewalk-service restart before I ran
"spacewalk-hostname-rename" script

which DB are you using postgres or
which DB are you using postgres or oracle? If you used the spacewalk-service
command to stop with the bundled DB, it will stop postgres and you'll have to
start it up before you run the command.

Hi All,
I encountered this issue when I try to run "spacewalk-hostname-rename" script
[root@ala-spacewalk-prod init.d]# /bin/spacewalk-hostname-rename 147.11.147.159
Validating IP ... OK
=
hostname: ala-spacewalk-prod.wrs.com

Finally I was able to pass the following command and register my client:
rhnreg_ks --sslCACert=/usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT
--serverUrl=https://client.x.y/XMLRPC --activationkey=1-CentOS --force
But afterwards unfortunately the problem occurs with the osad comnnection. I
see in log

Hi All,
I always needed to use rhn_check to enable the command on the client.
For this reason, I've 1) re-created the CA Key pair and Web SSL for my server
2) configure server and client with new Key pair 3) delete client host on
spacewalk.
When I want to register my client the following error

I'm getting the unique contrainst violation on attempting to reposync my
Centos 6 OS updates.
I've googled the error and see that in the past it is due to misnaming
of packages in the repo, but it doesn't help me find which package might
be the root cause of this (prior reports seem to

No, it shouldn't. But you might need to change the server name within the
config files on all clients in case you are unable to use the "old" name as
CNAME for the 'new' name
