Hi Thomas, sorry but this will be the next happy hacking action. I think the better way will be than to remove the MOTD as an fixed code and change it just to a snipplet. addCobblerSnippet(buf, "append_motd"); and just add the old code into the Snippet. Than every user, that will not have this

Hello again, i downloaded the latest RHn_Satellite-Sourecode and applyied the Patch. After Building new RPMs and updating my Satellite 5.4 Installation the /etc/motd Problem is solved. After applying the Patch you have to update once your kickstartfiles in the Satellite/Spacewalk, otherwise the

Wow - this is still working. So the Anaconda isn't reading the file one time. You do the "sed" Stuff in the PRE Script section, right ? But, i think it is the wrong way, that half the world is patching around this problem :-) Maybe someone have time to remove this code from the Spacewalk/Satellit
