Hi everyone. I've looked through the archives and couldn't find a solution.
I see other people have had this problem though so I thought I'd post.

Here's the situation. I'm sure everyone has seen the spam that comes in
looking like you sent it to yourself. I get spam sent to me "from me"...
spammers are using my own mailserver to email me spam I guess. Maybe it's a
forged header.

Either way, because we, as a company, have gotten so much spam like that,
our AWL (auto-whitelist) adjustment is pretty high. It is getting high
enough that if one of us emails each other, our email is sometimes called
"spam".

Now, I understand how AWL works (what a great idea!) and I realize that one
solution is for all of us to just email each other more often. :-) However,
we are pretty small so that rarely happens. We just yell to the other guy
most of the time.

So, what I'm looking for is a way to turn of AWL for our domain... that is
"*@domain.com". I want them still processed through spamassassin (thus
whitelisting our whole domain won't work) but I don't want the AWL score to
apply for us.

I've seen lots of messages about adjusting the "auto-whitelist.dir" database
file directly... that's a great one-time fix but doesn't work on-going.

Is there a setting to turn off AWL for my domain?

Thanks
-scott
