This is a very tricky little bug. Looking at the code, I've only found
one way it could occur. By the way, thanks for the strace output, that
actually helped a lot.

NOT spamdyke but clamav (I notice you use clamav).
I use spamdyke to front qmail, but via qmail-scanner control is passed

I even tried disabling simscan from tcp.smtp so the message arrive
without any scanning
I added the sending smtp to spamdyke ip-whitelist
That mail continues to hang spamdyke process , I really have to solve
this problem !

I killed it and it happened another couple of times.
The logs does not shows any error
It happens every time it tries to deliver a specific bounced message
(caused by a normal user unknown ) to one user .

have the problem that there is a process that calls vpopmail spamdyke which
remains stuck at 100% while maintaining the use of processor, increasing the
