hey david,
unfortunately not because this is our cluster installation and we have to
prepare some packages before we can upgrade.
cheers,

hi all,
I wrote some guidelines on how to install the latest version of the
TPP (4.4.0 Vuvuzela) on Mac OS X 10.6.4.
Hopefully it is helpful to somebody trying to get it to work on his/
her Mac.
I ran into some issues while using the TPP and I'm keeping track of
that at the bottom of the wiki
Thanks for the reply Ulrich!
I fixed the html file!
for gnuplot:
- I just typed sudo chown -R www /usr/local/bin/gnuplot (should be
ok??)
- which gnuplot leads here: /usr/local/bin/gnuplot
- cmd-i gives: _WWW read/write (also a wheel owner ?? and everyone.
They have read access)
Any link needed
adding: sudo ln -s /usr/local/bin/gnuplot /usr/bin/gnuplot
did not solve it either...

Bjorn,
In the link to the plot-msms.cgi spectrum viewer, add Debug=1 to
the URL. This causes the CGI to not remove the intermediate files it
uses including the *.gp gnuplot script and the *.spec? files which are
the data files to plot (peak lists and peak annotations).
Do that once and then run
Thanks for all the answers!
I actually found someone nearby, that was able to generate the
spectral images.
Of course it would be great if MCP would accept Skyline as spectral
viewer in the future. This would make things much easier. Or anyway,
if they would loosen their criteria in this regard,
Jimmy,
Thanks for the help!
I hope I did it right (still new to UNIX and the likes).
I added Debug=1 at the end of the URL and reloaded the webpage.
(still the error of course)
In the P01070 folder, more files had been created:

Hi Bjorn,
how did you install gnuplot? It looks like that it was compiled without png
output option. From what I remember fink compiles gnuplot with png by default.
Maybe, install via fink and use the resulting /sw/bin/gnuplot binary as
described in my old wiki tutorial.
Cheers

You did it all right. Can you check which version of gnuplot you have
installed? The TPP requires 4.2 and I suspect you might have an older
version installed.
Type 'gnuplot' on the command line to see what version you have.
'quit' will get you out of the gnuplot prompt.

Bjorn,
As you already have macports installed, I suggest that you temporarily
move the sourceforge version of gnuplot out of the way, and then try
sudo port install gnuplot.

AHA!!
I removed the old link and installed gnuplot with sudo port install
gnuplot.
then, sudo ln -s /opt/local/bin/gnuplot /usr/bin/gnuplot
I checked my TPP and I have graphs!!
Then, I cd to the P010170 folder in terminal and type gnuplot
100805.LC2.IT2.XX.P01070_2-A.10_01_805.1366991230.gp

Andres,
I should have paid a little more attention to your email
Boost does come with tpp -- its in the extern directory. As Matt says I'd
look to see if another boost is getting in the way, though by the paths in
the log it looks correct.
I'm also curious as to why you got this message:

Ignore that message regarding the font (which you wouldn't normally see).
A set of Windows fonts are listed to be used if available for the text
in the plots; otherwise whatever default system font gets used for
non-Windows systems.

Indeed. Everything works now.
