How to start a Community Currency as a non-profit?
Workshop by Valentin Seehausen (Social Coin Siegen

of Social Coin Siegen <https://social-coin-siegen.de/>, Valentin Seehausen is
going to introduce participants into the design of community currencies.
Participants can expect insights into token engineering, community activation,
marketing work and will get an idea on how to avoid common mistakes. Valentin
will also share basic knowledge around the creation of a demurrage UBI system,
so that everyone gets a clear idea of what creating a community currency
actually entails. This workshop is particularly designed for members of
non-profits that are interested to start a community currency. No special
skills or preparations needed.

CIRCLES - Build Local Economy Together
Workshop by Blanka Vay & Julio Linares (CIRCLES <https://joincircles.net/>
cooperative). Circles is a basic income made to promote local economy within
your community. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the
Circles token economy and will work on their own strategy on how to implement
Circles as a basic income means in their communities, neighbourhoods or
projects. Those who have no Circles wallet yet will be guided through setting
up their own wallet, so they can start collecting TRUST right away. This
workshop is for community managers, cultural workers, basic income activists &
everyone involved in building micro-economic structures in their neighbourhood.

Socialising Tokens
Where is the social in social tokens and what implications does quantification
have on online communities? A discussion looking at the emergent field of
social tokens and digital community currencies, unravelling metrics of value,
models of access and exclusion, and the tension between community and public
interests.
BLOCK 3: ECONOMIES FOR ARTS & CULTURE

Participatory Governance Tools in Cultural Policy: How digital automation could
radically advance the aims of an organisation and its techno-organisational
mechanisms. Yael Sherill (freelance curator & cultural manager) will be joined
by Janina Benduski (program director at LAFT Berlin) for a deep-dive into new
modes of cultural organising.

The Sphere: Towards New Ecologies of Funding for the Arts: The Sphere aims to
become a place of mutually transformative exchanges and development between
artistic processes (art flows) and funding practices (economic flows),
pragmatically experimenting with new modes of funding in the arts and beyond.

Black Swan DAO
Black swan is a digital initiative enabling governance mechanisms and
collective fund allocation for communities of creative practitioners. Laura and
Calum introduce the project and present findings from recent governance

Invisible Economy
DADA.art is creating an economic model for the arts based on intrinsic
motivations and social norms called the Invisible Economy. It allows a global
community of artists to create collaborative digital art driven by intrinsic
motivations, and receive a social dividend regardless of the free-market while

ECSA is formulating a grammar for expressing post-capitalist economic
organizations. As part of this process, we’re offering XORG Initiative,
together with Supermarkt, Robin Hood Coop, BlockScience, m-cult, Breadchain,
among others. XORG utilizes games as a structural medium for organizations. The
different fields of game design suggest different methods for drafting
organizations. For example, roleplaying games offer structures for meaningful
events and forging novel social entities. Hosted by Akseli Virtanen & Pekko
Koskinen.

The Berlin initiative Expropriate Deutsche Wohnen & Co! seeks to facilitate a
referendum to re-municipalise the housing stock of major housing companies in
Berlin. In her talk, Rabea Berfelde proposes a vision of a democratically
controlled housing association that serves the common good, rather than the
real estate market. Talk by Rabea Befelde.

Yonatan Miller, tech worker <https://techworkersberlin.com/>, trade union
organizer and co-founder of Berlin vs Amazon <https://berlinvsamazon.com/>,
will present his insights on how Amazon became the pandemic giant, reaping
large profits amid a global health crisis. Where are Amazon’s relentless
expansion and automation headed? Why is this unprecedented monopolization of
power and finance a threat to workers, customers and basically everyone? Are
there any ways to resist Amazon? Talk by Yonatan Miller.

Tools for Reimagining Better Worlds Through Collaboration
In this conversation, Rachel Uwa and Ela Kagel will look on strategic
approaches, online tools, facilitation methods and cultural aspects of
self-organization, aimed at creating a curriculum for digital self-management
in groups and collectives. This session provides an opportunity for community
organizers to call-in and engage in strategizing on how to strengthen

String Figures - The Threads Connecting Us
This mapping workshop by Ailie Rutherford will be rounding off MoneyLab Berlin
with a collaborative exercise in exploring the inextricable threads that
connect us all. Created by Ailie Rutherford and Bettina Nissen, this digital
digital mapping work aims to visualise and build decentralised networks for
