Or use the latest version of modem_run from CVS (http://speedtouch.sf.net)

Hello
I have used the Speedtouch modem on SuSE8, 8.1, 8.2 et 9.
I am currently using the kernel mode driver because I believe (as Duncan
once said) that it is a bit faster.

Hi
I'm using the userspace driver under Debian and Slackware.
The matter is: I can't surf thx to the driver under Slackware
I've got this in my logs:
>Nov 28 10:26:47 darkstar pppd[627]: local IP address 81.50.164.24
>Nov 28 10:26:47 darkstar pppd[627]: remote IP address 193.253.160.3

Didn't the previous SuSE support it? Strange that they
have gone backwards...

Duncan.

In /etc/hotplug/
Duncan,
I don't think SuSE 9 supports the speedtouch..
1. the command /proc/net/speed* does not return anything on a clean
fresh installed SuSE 9 pc
2. searching in config files , specially in the /etc/hotplug dir,
nothing to be found on speed*
3. on the SuSE support web there is no support
