Do you really use check_adsl.sh again or it is a mistake in your message
and you would like to say start_adsl.sh ?
Please use : service adsl start
and give us your feedback again.

Hi Fred,
I used service adsl start,then, as the connection wasn't working,
I did a check with check_adsl.sh.
I kept the modem plugged during the whole installation process; I
don't know whether this can matter.
