My speedtouch 330 is very close to connecting, but final ppp does not come up. I've
gone through the config files many times trying different options from the howtos.
Any suggestions? I'm using earthlink in the San Jose, CA area and mandrake 9.1.

I have mandrake9.1 and trying to use speedtouch 330 with earthlink DSL. The
modem syncs OK but ppp won't connect. The listing from /var/log/messages is
below. I've set my pap_secrets and chap_secrets and tried vpi/vci 0,35 and
8,35 (I'm in San Francisco, CA area).
Any suggestions on how
