Hi does anyone else have any ideas about my modem. To re-cap I am using Red Hat 8.0 and cannot get my internet connection to work.
When I run the modem_run command the modem lights start to flash and then they both go green which I think is a good sign. When I run the ifconfig command however is says that there is no device. I am using the open source driver method to install and have followed the instructions precisely. Any ideas?....incidently I also have a network card in the pc, could this cause a conflict?.....I don't see how but is it possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
