Hi there.

I am new to Sphinx and, from what I have seen during
the first two weeks spent using it, it is a great tool.

Perhaps I am missing something, but there seem to be
a couple of limitations on the glossary that are making
our work difficult:

1) it seems not to be possible to have one explanation
   for multiple voices, e.g.:

   tool
   development tool
   tools
   development tools
Explanation of what a development tool (a.k.a. tool) is.

2) it seems not to be possible to emphasize part of a voice,
   e.g.,

   *à l'anglaise* cooking
      Explanation...

The only workarounds I have found for 1) are:

    tool
       See :term:`development tool`.

    development tool
       Explanation...

and then, for the plurals I do something like

a toolchain is a set of :term:`tool`\s such that...

However the results from these workarounds are uguly:
I really hope there is a better way. Moreover, I have
found no workaroung for 2).
Thanks,

   Roberto
