I decided to finally try spice on Ubuntu 10.04 (Server and VM) and I
manged to get qxl driver working for me (
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28372 ).
Now video playback on vesa was really choppy.
Now with qxl it's smooth but the videos keeps flipping up and down.

I'm using Ubuntu and it works fine.
