The Rear ends should be using Hypoid 80W/90. Not straight gear oil.

GL5 eats away the copper and brass parts. From what I hear, it's more of a
problem with the diff, you can *probably* get away with it in the
transmission

Now I am down to the Driveshaft. Appears a nonstandard shaft is in place.
Although it fits and must have been on a GT6+ OD at some point it is not what
should be there. I am told that it appears to be altered and may be the
source of the rumble and also may have ruined the diff. I

What type of gear oil are we supposed to use in the diff and trans of our
Spits? I've heard that GL 4 is the way to go, however I can't seem to find it
at any of my local auto parts stores. All I can locate is GL 5. Any help
would be appreciated.

Has anyone used the Longflo air cleaners from Vicky Brit? I bought a
pair because they were cheaper than K&N. They don't look very efficient.
