Matt Per Penrite's Lubrication Recommendation Sheet for Spits, GT6, Herald, Vitesse & Bond The Rear ends should be using Hypoid 80W/90. Not straight gear oil. Please advise if you would like a Penrite brochure packet with your mailing address and I will include the above mentioned sheet.

GL5 eats away the copper and brass parts. From what I hear, it's more of a problem with the diff, you can *probably* get away with it in the transmission (unless you have overdrive). But why risk it? I was able to find GL4 on the shelf at our local NAPA store. At the very least, they can pr

Wow Guys, Now I am down to the Driveshaft. Appears a nonstandard shaft is in place. Although it fits and must have been on a GT6+ OD at some point it is not what should be there. I am told that it appears to be altered and may be the source of the rumble and also may have ruined the diff. I

Fellow Listers; What type of gear oil are we supposed to use in the diff and trans of our Spits? I've heard that GL 4 is the way to go, however I can't seem to find it at any of my local auto parts stores. All I can locate is GL 5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Has anyone used the Longflo air cleaners from Vicky Brit? I bought a pair because they were cheaper than K&N. They don't look very efficient. I've noticed some new brands lately that are similar to K&N but cost even more. It makes paper attractive but I can't find them to fit HS4's or Weber DCO
