I've had that happen, but used this system:
The threaded end of the long bolt has a blunt tapered
point machined onto the end.
I used a long (36") steel pipe, and BFH (Big Ferrous
Hammer) to drive the bolt out.
The tapered end of the bolt keeps the end of the pipe
centered.

I'm gotten really spoiled here in Florida.
To pump gas at my Mobile station, I just wave a little
transponder attached to my key ring at the Pegasus
logo on the pump face. The pump 'enables' in about 1-2
seconds, I then fill the tank.
The gas is charged to my credit card account, so all I
do is e
For anybody interested in EFI, Paul's page also has

Although you wouldn't expect that normal brake shoe
wear would cause this, the loss of the lining itself
on one shoe might account for it.
Another possibility is the brake operating lever that
operates against the brake cylinder on each side. If
the pivot pin wore, became dislodged/unseated, or th

I think what you really need is the Spitfire SUV.

Thanks for the reply Terry.
Let us know how yours work out.
I'm looking at some R/R on SU's, and I'd use the GJ if
they work OK.

Terry,
I hope the Grosse Jet's work out for you.
I had the opposite experience.
In the process of re-building the SU's on my 1147, I
ordered and installed a set of the Grosse Jets.
I had not been having any fuel control problems, I
just did it as part of normal R/R.

Next I suppose that they will attempt to regulate CO2
emission from breathing.
With all due respect, the lady sponsoring this bill
sounds like a real wack job.

Brad,
Since you are interested in safety anyway, fit a roll
bar, then use it for the rear upper belt mount.
As for the axle, if it's bent where the flange
attaches, then it's a write-off, but if it's bent in
the shaft area, consider having it straightened. Any
