Henry, My understanding is that the slotted wheels are unique to the 1976 models (with higher compression engines than other 1500), all other spitfires had round holes. I like the look of the round holes, but probably shouldn't have swapped my slotted wheels away on my '76 Ward Date

Centering Steering Rack

While rebuilding the front suspension, I took out the steering rack to clean and paint. The instructions for putting it back said to look for the dimple or spot in the hole on the rack to center the rod. I've gone back and forth several times and was never able to find the dimple. Does the dim
