Whilst I would go for the cheaper tyres I would avoid unbranded tyres. When I replaced the rears on my 1500 last I got pirelli P1000s which were the cheapest branded tyres on offer (about 40 quid each if my memory serves...) I have found that unbranded tyres tend to go flatter quite quickly onc

I agree with Michael, as when I got my car (with flat tyres) I also opted for the standard size inexpensive replacements. Basically I looked for softer tyres so that they would hopefully grip better and not last longer than the car. They tried to sell me 60,000 mile tyres. It was not even at t

I guess you're all gagging to know the result of my MOT?? Well, maybe not. She passed with flying colours - except for 3 things; the rear brake lights weren't wired correctly, the CO was 8%, rather than 4% and he "advised me" on my rear tyres being very near the limit. So much for my carb tun
