If you want a cheaper source of 20W oil, get a can of "3 in 1 Motor Oil - Special
blend for 1/4 hp and larger motors".
You should be able to find it at any decent hardware store, Lowe's, or Home Depot.

I have the correct dash pot oil for your Stromberg or SU. It is Penrite
Damper oil and is 20W.
The bottles are 125ml for $5.75 ea.

That's what I used in my Stromberg and still do in my twin SU and always used in
the UK cars I had. In fact that's what's listed in the manuals as the standard,
although many alternatives are used - atf, 3-in-1, 5W30 etc etc. The viscosity of
the oil affects the speed at which the damper moves and
