I seem to remember hearing that the original veneer was "French Walnut"? At
any rate, I went to a local wood shop and got a sheet of regular walnut. Like
Steve, I used contact cement and had no issues. I did have to repair the
plywood backing with wood filler first though. I too used a Dremel t

I can't help you with the specific type of wood and grain and finish for the original
dash, though the phrase "French Oak" wants to spill out of my head.
How bad is the delamination problem? When I refinsihed my dash, I had to repair the
far left corner as it had gotten wet a few times. I simp
