Chromecast can never really be gapless as it uses HTML5 webaudio which
can only play one HTTP stream at a time and cannot overlap. Currently
the only way to be gapless is for source to generate a continuous
stream.

Google sell a combined ethernet and power adaptopr if you want wired (

See Phillipe's Castbridge thread in 3rd Party Software but the answers

I'm trying to install the one from here:
http://downloads-origin.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9
...the one listed
which seems to suggest that the problem is the new ReadyNAS firmware
(6.6.0) being incompatible with LMS.
Make sure you install the latest LMS 7.9.

Not having much luck are you?
I don't use a ReadyNAS so can't help here except to say my
recommendation would be to get a Raspberry Pi and run LMS on that but
keep the music files on the NAS. Relatively easy and avoids all the
firmware incompatibility issues.

I think I've made a real mess here. I've been trying to iron out some
relatively minor niggles here:

And in the process rebooted my ReadyNas 102. As it came back on it
