I have the folloing Problem. I runs have a LMS on my server
192.168.0.253. When I am on the Squeezebox and try to connect to this
Server, I become the right Name diesplayed but with an incorrect IP
address 192.168.0.254. I find no explanation for this. The connection to

You must provide much more information about your setup in order to
expect help. What LMS version? What platform are running it on? Which
model Squeezebox are you referring to? Does LMS run correctly from the
web GUI? What does your log say?

- Reinstall LMS
- Factory Reset both Player
- Reinstall Firmware on both Player
- Restart NAS
Is the IP Adress from the LMS = the NS IP ? Or is the IP Adress set in
Config ?

Could you have two versions/instances of LMS running on the same
machine? Any manual configuration of the IP address on the NAS?

Found the error. I connect server2 additionally with an OpenVPN network.
If this connected the SB does not work anymore.

It's me again,
I purged installation, cleaned all directories and made a
reinstallation. I moved the cache to the recommended partition, disabled
all plugins except of full text search and rescan music library
(according to Michaels suggestions in the thread Endless scan).

files and folders are correct.
Been a while since I ran LMS on my QNAP - I hold the files on the QNAP
but run LMS on a Raspberry Pi.

I used MBL live before. Fine until my collection getting larger than
30,000 songs (all FLAC) or so. A full scan will take hours and often
failed. You will have better luck by removing the cache directory
before a full scan. The MBL's hardware has only 256M ram and is not
enough for LMS. I am

Tick boxes when selecting the directory to scan .
These are known to sometimes cause trouble don't use them unless you
actually use the features and plugins needing this.

It still seems odd that proxying an MP3 stream to 2 devices takes more
CPU than transcoding it from AAC+ to FLAC and streaming FLAC to 2
devices, but at least I know why it does that.
