Thanks for your answer/remark.
In the /etc/default/locale file I previously only had one line:
LANG="de_DE.UTF-8"
I added
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
but no changes in the sort behavior of LMS.
Sorry for my beginner questions but I am no Linux expert; what do I have
to add in the locale file to force t
I have manually edited a playlist created in LMS 7.9.0 (Windows 2008

FYI, I did some more detailed logging of the alarm in my daughter's room

that I can't be completely sure that an error occurred because, being a
student, she slept through the entire thing. I've looked through the
log and ther

How do I add a playlist? (e.g. an M3U file). I don't see that as an
option anywhere.
Also, where does LMS save playlists which are created via the web
interface? I'v

I was wrong (looked on the wrong drive) my saved playlist does appear
in the designated playlist folder. If you can find your m3u file remove
it from the folder, scan,
Ah it seems that it only appears in the Playlist Folder when you've
saved it with a name (in the left pane of the web UI). Clicking the Save
button at the bottom of the right-hand pane doesn't seem to save a file
anywhere.
OK I'll try a re-scan and see if it finds everything now

Perfect, thanks. This solution is still relevant, even in 2017! I still

Can someone tell me where my configuration for the Music Information
Screen is stored? I had it set up exactly like I like it, but my hard
drive died. I loaded my backup, but the configuration for the MIS didn't
load back.
Thanks,

Can I go home now?
It's a Squeezebox Radio and yes, max bit rate is set to 128 kbits/s (on
all my players) so as not to be too ambitious on the wifi.

You don't give you
I think you should tests without any bit rate limiting and no
transcoding by LMS. I have seen problems with transcoding on LMS with
Win 10 and need to eliminate that as a possible source.

I am so sorry. I certainly wasn't thinking. I am running XP, but your
info got me there.
Thanks and I'll kick myself all evening :-)

Hi everyone. I wonder if someone could help me with a problem I have had
for a week now.
I have a vortex box running LMS v7.7.2 on Fedora release 16.
I have my system for many years and all has been working fine. I can
stream music from the vortexbox successfully for hours on end. However
