Delete the server.log, start LMS. When it's stopped again, post the Log
here.
Have you tried "/opt/ssods4/bin/ssctrl start"? Maybe we get some
messages from the console.

I have tried it a few times and even removed LMS and reinstalled it. Is
the cache stored in the 'tmp' folder? I deleted everything in the 'tmp'

Hi, try to restart the whole system, not only LMS. Did you delete the

Look at the files in a command Shell ,sometimes these Fanny characters
show up there ?
While at the name question are the filenames very long ? Including the
whole album title and more ?
Even if you are on a Mac some part of faad or LMS migth not like very
long search paths like the typical 250

So, I just re-ripped the CD using MAX, and the first 3 tracks play fine,

Which Firmware (QTS?)
What Version of LMS?
What shows server.log?
Are there any error messages of SSOTS while starting LMS?
Maybe you ssh in your QNAP and execute "ssctrl start" from command line.

Thanks. I should probably make my life easier and start LMS on the Pi 3
I have which runs core player. I just hate throwing away/recycling
hardware until I absolutely have to.

The rips are done with iTunes, Apple Lossless AAC files. The odd thing
is some of the tracks ripped at the same time, same CD, will not play
while others are fine. LMS is running on an iMac with
