Thanks for showing me how to reset and get info from the log file.
Here it is...
Looks like a problem
You may have done this already, but right click on the playlist file, so
you can view it as text, and make sure the drive letter matches. This
solved a problem that I had. Party on!

An alternative approach
Go to Settings in LMS and then Player
Then find Don't Stop The Music
Is Lastmix an option ?
If not install Michael's plugin
Then redo above
So, I've tried a full Clear Library and rescan everything.with no
luck
This is very frustrating!!!

LOL!!! Yeah, its an all day thing that we do once
Right, I've given up on Winders and moved everything to Ubuntu and a
nice fresh installation, no lame, all vanilla stuff. Hopefully things
will (a) work and (b) remain more stable.

I don't know the answer - I don't use playlists but if you are panicking
because you can't get more than 500 tracks can I please come to your
party (500 x 3 = 1500 minutes = a bloody long party) ?
Free beer all night?

It tells you that when you hover over the Info button. However, I also
tried 2000 with no luck. Currently running "Clear library and rescan
everything" rather than just the playlists.
Hm, opening this thread again...
it seems that some songs still aren't displayed because they do not have
the album tagged. I have had this problem for quite a while
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?105636-Singles-without-Album-tag=855310=1#post855310
This is really strange and I
I don't recall that 0 = no limit. Try setting max playlist to 2000 and
see that goes.
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 7.9 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets and
Squeeseslave
Portable system - Rock solid with LMS 7.9 on Win10 Pro - 1 Duet and
Squeezeslave
Strange thing is I ripped the same CD in MAX to a FLAC file, and it
plays fine. The titles, etc are identical to the m4a ripped by MAX that
won't play on the Transporter or Squeezebox.

I've just had to reinstall my LMS after encountering a few problems
(which were solved thanks to user d6jg). Unfortunately that meant that
everything returned to default setting including the Playlist limiter
(to 500 tracks max).
I have a large playlist that I use for parties (1000 tracks), and

Thanks for your feedback.
I fixed the artwork, but the problem is still there:

You can see which path is used for cache in Settings / Information in
the Web UI. But if a system's restart doesn't do anything, then it's a
different kind of problem. Never mind.
I think I broke it.
Great idea - I will check task mgr etc. and report back

Check if LMS service is really not running. If it's running you would
see it either in TaskManager or listed (as "squeezesvc"?) when you type
"net start"

Brill. Thanks. I'll give that a shot tonight and report back on either
great success or abject failure.

I would uninstall and reboot. Then run the installer as Administrator

Thanks! Should I uninstall the current version before doing that or will
it simply overwrite?

Hi All;
I have this error since a while - now I would like to find the root
cause and fix it:
While scanning my music library, the scan aborts unexpectedly.
It does that regardless, if I do a DB deletion and complete new scan or
if I scan only added / new files.
It usually stops during 'DB
