If there are problems playing streams direct (i.e.not proxied) to player
- you shopudl check by testing other high bit rate MP3 streams. If most
have problem streamgin smoothly you should double check your local
network between player and router (e.g. test wit wired connection, use
static IP add

I have a QNAP TS-219P II, with the latest software update they have
removed support for LMS, so I now have two useless Touch's, is there
anyway to get around this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you run LMS on a Touch, pointing to
your NAS as a SMB folder?

LMS was removed from Qnap Nas a long time ago.

I had a working LMS setup under Fedora 25.
I am not running the latest release, but rather from a very recent git
clone. Been meaning to upgrade you know how it is.
I upgraded from Fedora 25 to 26 and LMS won't start.

I have now switched to Linux (Ubuntu) and find that exactly the same
problem occurs with LMS on Ubuntu (log attached): after some time LMS
becomes unresponsive, possibly triggered by a break in connectivity. I
have seen one of the IP addresses occupied by www.mysqueezebox.com stop
responding to pi

I don't think there is a plug socket free in the house for another
gadget! I followed this excellent guide for installing 7.9.1 on qnap
and it seems to have installed OK, although not done a great deal of
testing yet!
