I have figured out how to mess LMS up and get it into a broken state.
Here's what I did:
- fresh install, everything is fine
- Assign a user and password in Advanced > Security. Server starts and
stops and works fine.
- Change "Block incoming connections" to "Block". The value in "Allowed

No, after doing some scanning, resetting of preferences, restarting LMS
a couple of times, it is again in the state of not working any more. I

Does the PC have a static IP address? Have you tried power cycling the
Duet and controller when you switch OS's? Have you tried resetting and
reconfiguring the Duet when you switch OS's I've seen the Duet have
issues when the server IP changes.
