Thanks, Paul. Will give it a try later. One point tho: I can't close LMS, because the sysytem prefs place, where I usually switch the server off and on when required, is also not seeing it. So when I click Stop Server, nothing happens. Is there another way to do it?

I have a similar issue but I'm not sure Filetypes by itself is enough. I too mix lossless (mainly flac) and lossy (mainly mp3) formats in the same library and I rely heavily on my music folder hierarchy (e.g., classical, jazz, rock, world, each of which have sub-folders). I'd like to be able to t

Thanks for the speedy reply; I wasn’t aware of Advanced Search. However, I can’t make effective use of my ‘lossless’ view. I turned it on (see below), but there doesn’t seem to be a way to navigate and select the results. I'm using LMS v. 7.9.2 on W10. 64-bit pro. 28576 +
