You might find it works better if you enable Chromecast on your CXNv2
Looks like it has been available in their firmware since 2018

Cifs. I Just followed An online instruction manual so I'm not aware of
the differences between Them. Should I simply switch to NFS OR is there
more to IT then a simple click?

Only the last three nightlies are left on the server. Older builds are
removed automatically. You therefore have to make sure you get the
latest link from the following page:

I have the same problem.
I can't login from my SB Radio to LMS 8.0.
I try to install this patch - I have installed 1.2.36 Patch, but this
patch don't working with LMS 8.0.
Do you have more solution?

You need the "Chromecast bridge" plugin for Chromecast, or "UPnP/DLNA
bridge" plugin, both by Phillipe.

I have this issue for some time now that I want to add a folder to the
server in the media folder section and it is not saved. Also, normally
after changing something in settings and then leaving the page it asks
if the changes should be saved. This dialog does not come up. So,

It doesnt matter which but the answer to your problem is different in
each case.

In this case "plugin" is generic rather than LMS specific.
eg using VST
https://www.hedd.audio/en/hedd-lineariser/
Looks like it is Windows or MAC only and can be run as a plugin to vlc
One of the transcode command line experts here might be able to figure
it out.
