Ok. In 8.0 it's now installed by default, whether you use it or not. But
if you say it's not installed, it's not installed. ;)

I've been running LMS 7.9.2 on a Synology DS418 for ages, thanks to the
repackaged software by @pinkdot . I just upgraded with the LMS 8.0
package, and it's great. Can't thank @mherger enough for the brilliant
integration of Spotify into the library. LMS 8 is a very impressive
release.
What is the OS of the platform on which LMS is running. If login is
using https and Perl support libraries are too old, you may get a
problem with https.
Michael would be best to handle this but he is on vacation for a few
weeks.
