Thanks for the answer to this annoyance...unfortunately my Squeezeserver
machine is still on XP (don't laugh!). Where can I download a version
prior to 7.9.2?

multiple urls: i.e. you select one station from the menu and the station
has different streaming formats, i.e. mp3 or aac the different links are
put as a playlist, however the first item starts to play automatically.
this can be overcome with the option one url in the sertings.
