Sorry for splitting my message, had to increase my post count to be able
to post links.
You can download DXDs here: www.2l.no/hires/ (look for the Stereo
24BIT/352.8kHz column).

This is an "old" topic. Please check discussions about running LMS on
Catalina.
Long story short: you'll need to give Perl full disk access.

Thanks for the quick responses. I tried to register for the vortexbox

You might consider getting an rPi, installing piCorePlayer, and
attaching a USB drive with your files to the rPi. This will run LMS 8.0
and is currently very well maintained.

Hi, I have just tried to upgrade LMS from 7.9.1 to 7.9.2. I was able to
run the installation onb my NAS, but I couldn't see the server on
http://192.168.87.142:9000/ after the installation. Tried upgrading to
7.9.3 and 7.9.4 but with the same result.
Does anyone know what could be the issue

I have no idea whether there's anything particular about Vortexbox. But
I thought its author did provide packages for it? Did you ask him?

I've been testing betas ever since I got them. LMS should work. But I

It may do, but for full LMS functionality, LMS depends on a number of

Apart from that, it feels like a bug that LMS resets the port from 9000

For a couple of days this cleared up on its own. Now it's back. I

With LMS running you could try power cycling the receiver. I believe it
then does a little broadcast saying something like "Hey, is there an LMS
out there to connect to", but not really sure how that part works.

Another little tidbit for you is if you ever have to re-setup your
receiver (like if you put in a new router) it can be done without using
the controller. There's a tool written by Robin Bowes called NET::UDAP

The port is indeed part of the config that comes with the package! When
installing a package, Synology checks if this port is free to use. If
already in use, the install will fail.
Port 9000 was once used by Surveillance Station but is free to use now.
