Too bad cannot use it as is. Could you please point me to the part of

Not sure where I could find the info (most certainly here with a few
hours of searching), but what is the latest LMS version I could use with
Mac Min I running 10.7.5?
LMS 8.3.1 should work again on older Macs.

I suppose that depends on the remote control device you are using. For
control of my piCorePlayer I am using an RF
You should be able to use one of the squeezelite builds at
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/
The main difference between R2 and these builds that you need to add the
-W command line parameter to enable the wave file header parsing.
