Yep, once LMS 7.7.6 was installed, Touch gave option to update firmware
to 7.8
All sorted out now. 2nd Touch had old firmware and would not recognise
LMS 8.0.0 on NAS, so uninstalled 8.0.0 and installed 7.7.6 and that
allowed upgrade of the firmware to latest version. Uninstalled LMS 7.7.6
and installed 8.0.0 and all is well.

I think I've sorted it out; managed to find a compatible 7.7.6 to
install on the NAS and the Touch has recognised it. Thanks for all your

When I attempt to go to the NAS library, it states that my NAS needs to

So I've installed the second one, but it didn't like the fact that I
have 8.0.0 on the NAS. I figured that I would have to uninstall 8.0.0
and reinstall 7.7.6, however I couldn't work out how to uninstall from
the NAS and neither could I find a compatible version of 7.7.6! In the

I have a Squeezebox Touch with LMS 8.0.0 running on a Synology NAS and
am about to receive and install a second Touch which will be hard-wired
to a hi-fi amplifier and connected wirelessly to the NAS. I'm not the
most advanced when it comes to tech stuff, but is there anything
