This is driving me up the wall!
Have had LMS on the Mac for ages and it was working just fine, did not
use it for years and now I can finally use it again because I moved.
Everything installed it worked just fine, then after a little while it
started buffering like crazy. Network test said 320 kb
I saw another thread about this, cant find it again of course, there it
said to go to Terminal and write "find Logitech Media Server" I think,
it came up with two entries which look a lot like the one mherger
mentions.
Going to Applications there is nothing there though.

In Library/Preferences I see no Squeezebox folder, only a
com.slimdevices.slim.plist file.
PreferencePanes is empty, nothing there.
In Caches there is a Squeezebox folder with three rar folders, Spotty,
templates, ITunes Artwork etc.
That is all I can find

It wont let me do that.
7.9.2 is installed, it has all the settings from previous install, it
connects to wifi, it just has a lot of problems connecting to the
server, it keeps trying, and yes, then it starts playing some random
music I never heard of!
Really strange.

As a last attempt I took away the Applications Preference folder in
Library, tried to install 8.2 but once installed it still says 7.9 and
it does not work. will not recognize the password for squeezenetwork and
server will not turn on, scanning the library does not work either.

I searched for any Logitech/SlimDevices and Squeezebox files, deleted
everything, downloaded 8.3.
Logged in to mysqueezebox on the net, after some time Logitech Media
Server found the music on the computer and the path appeared in the
Library pane.
I moved the computer close to the SB3 to see w
Moved the computer back to the office, one wall and four meters away, 50
kbps network test went very well, drops to 95% once in while but good
enough I think.

Yeah, well, did not last long. Still says there is another server
running, a re-scan completely freezes the System Preferences, this is
way too advanced and difficult for me
