I have changed the genre for one of the RD albums to "Easy Listening"
and then the RD songs by Frank Sinatra sh

Yes. I installed the latest update today before the last few tests. It's

Another test. I changed all songs on one of the Reader's Digest
compilation albums to "Easy Listening" (I have two albums in this genre
already), did a complete scan and all songs from the RD albums now shows
up.
So this led to another test. I changed the genre for two albums to
"Digest", scanne

Do you have any of the artists on the compilation albums on album
The issue I'm having is not with ReplayGain. It was brought up as
someone noticed it was a little off. Which may have been me scanning the
songs incorrectly.
My issue was and still is with songs not showing in certain genres.
Doing some testing it might be a bug in the system. LMS doesn't seem t
Well, I re-ran the ReplayGain and now it shows -3.06 for the album and
-3.14 for the same song as above.
I also upgraded to the latest LMS and did a "clear library and rescan"
(for the umpthenth time today) and all of a sudden all the songs are now
listed in the Oldies genre. I'm thinking it's

Looking at the album information it does say it's a compilation, see

I downloaded mpstag and took a look at the files in question. It's
puzzling. All of them show the correct genre in mp3tag (as well as in
Foobar & Windows). Extended tags showed the genre as well.
In LMS it's different. Some albums show up under their the genre/s.
Others don't. Seems the ones not

Thanks for your reply. Which tag editor should I use? Is there one that
will give me m
The other day I was looking at what music I have in different genres.
While filtering I noticed some of the music digitized from LP (vinyl) or
cassette tapes didn't show up. These albums or tapes all have been
tagged with the appropriate genre, but they aren't listed under the
genre in LMS.

Yes, that exactly the one I got. It's working great.

Just to update the thread. I found an inexpensive fanless Windows 10
computer, AWOW. Installed a 1TB M2 drive. It took a little to get the
players to connect to the new LMS, but now it's quieter, faster and just
a little more up to date. Hopefully I'm set for the next 10+ years now

Just a little :-) I am a great believer in "If it ain't broke don't fix
it", so I tend to hold on to things a long time.

I'm running LMS, presently version 8.0, on a dedicated computer with
Windows Server 2003 as the OS. In the 10+ years it's been running it's
been extremely stable (knock on wood), but then again, the only thing
installed is LMS.
This OS is starting to get old and I'm wondering if I should migrate
