You're not alone. I have used playlists of radio stations in the past,
and encountered many of the same

Yikes! I hadn't noticed that. Obviously unrelated to the streaming mode
setting that didn't exist until recently.
I've seen a similar effect recently (though on my Windows server the
impact is only about 5-10% CPU use), have not determined any rhyme or
reason as to what causes some stations to exhibit it.
I have noticed, however, that I can eliminate the higher CPU usage by
changing "Streaming mode for

I have had absolutely no issues with my Radio on an eero mesh system.
Perhaps I am just lucky :)

Same here. This resolves a similar issue I have been having with my LMS
on Windows recently.

Yes, since Win10 first released. No problems.

I don't use Emby for music, only video. I believe, though, that
I no longer have this issue on my system (LMS 7.9 on Windows 10).

They do, actually.
As for a direct stream URL favorite, if you find a suitable image on the
web you could edit the favorites.opml file in the LMS Prefs directory
and change the icon URL for
I had no problems installing that nightly LMS build on after updating
Windows 10 to the Fall Creators update. I have Windows Defender as well
as Malwarebytes running, and neither picked up a problem with the LMS
exe.
I would find this handy as well

No, as it wasn't executing anyway. But just in case, I removed the
shortcut from the startup folder (and do so again each time I install a
new nightly).

That is what I was going to ask. Since the Replay Gain via PCM
conversion was working fine with local files, and not really relevant to
remote streams anyway, is there a way

And it works -- no more chipmunks. Thanks!
BTW, the LMS "Volume Adjustment for Remote Streams" setting works on my
other players, but for whatever reason does not seem to

You know more about this than I, but I don't think that is true. I know
I have a few MP3s in my collection that were purchased/downloaded with
sample rate of 48 kHz, and there are some radio stations I listen to
(usually talk or "old time radio")
