Many thanks. If I enter http:\\192.168.1.10:9000 rather than just the
address it all works fine. Something in the router setup that defaults
everything to https? No matter. that's sorted it now.

I had to change my LAN & wifi router. Everything seems to be ok and all
my Squeezebox players including Squeezelite on the PC work correctly.
When I try and browse my LMS I get this error on all devices (Windows 10
and 11 and Android tablet and phone):

Back in the day when I only used squeezeboxes with the IR remote it was
simple to stop a stream by holding the pause button and the screen
displayed "stopping" and then stopped. In the modern world with RPi's,
Squeezelite and iPeng how do I truly stop a stream? There is no "stop"
function in
Solved if not fully understood! I ran the chown/chmod commands shown in
the thread below and everything is back to normal, I will now try some

The server is running linux mint 19 and that may be the problem as mint
19 seems to of messed up samba sharing. I'll look into that when i get
home this evening.
I normally copy the flac files from my pc to a backup nas and then copy
from backup to lms.
I'll try a re-rip but nothing had been changed at the ripper (EAC). I'm
thinking it may be a Linux permissions thing?

I am running 7.9.2 with flac files only. One recent rip fails to scan in
LMS. Files are on the server and will play with VLC. Permissions look
the same as all other files in library. Tried both a new music and full
