I just realized that there is a problem is with my Ubuntu server:
restarting the server solved my problem (at least for the moment).

Thanks for your reply.
I am using pi-hole as internal DNS server but I have had no problems
with that configuration for a long time.
Anything must have changed ... but I have not changed anything regarding
pi-hole ...

I have a LMS running on a Linux Ubuntu server and three RPi players with
Max2Play software.
Up to yesterday everything was running smoothly; radio stations were
accessible.
Since today I can't access any radio station. I get an error message:
"Could'nt resolve IP adress for: opml.radiotime.com".
I changed LC_CTYPE to "POSIX" but no change within LMS.
My LMS still shows "Betriebssystem: Debian - DE - utf8" (and not
POSIX).
And the sort order in Genre has not changed.
Any other ideas?

In the /etc/default/locale file I previously only had one line:
LANG="de_DE.UTF-8"
I added
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
but no changes in the sort behavior of LMS.

I chose "Rescan media library -> Look for new and changed media files"
and my understanding is: new and changed media files/ metadata should be
added/changed in the database. But maybe you are right and it is not a
bug but a feature.

Cleaning up my audio files regarding the compilation tag field I might
have found a minor bug.
Deleting existing entries in all tracks of a disc lead to the following
result (after having updated the Database):
- track 1 still in the list of compilations (should not be the case!!)
- tracks 2-n no
